Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 10, 1956, p. 1 Mrs. Nina Spoon Summoned Here Funeral services were to have been held early this week in Beardstown, Ill., for Mrs. Nina Spoon, mother of Mrs. Robert W. Phelps of Wickenburg, who passed away early Saturday morning of last week in Community Hospital here. Mrs. Spoon, who was visiting her daughter and family here, had been in ill health for more than a year. She was taken to the hospital Friday evening when her condition became critical. A native of Illinois, Mrs. Spoon was born May 18, 1887; and had lived all of her life in that state. She had visited in Wickenburg on several previous occasions. She had been a widow for the past five years. In addition to Mrs. Phelps, another daughter, Mrs. Betty Dorris, who recently moved to Wickenburg, also survives and there are three sons, Howard, Herman and John, all living in Illinois. Two brothers and two sisters are also residents of the midwest, and there are 15 surviving grandchildren. Mr. & Mrs. Phelps accompanied the body to Illinois, leaving Wickenburg early Sunday morning. |
