Marion Elizabeth (Mickey) Michel, 56, passed away February 15, 2003 in Puerto Montt, Chile.

Born in Fulda, Germany she has lived in Scottsdale since 1975. Mickey is survived by her parents, Martin and Ilse Michel of Mission, KS and one son Trevor Tenney and wife Shelly of Scottsdale, AZ.

At the time of her death, she was an International Tour Director for Oddessey Unlimited. Mickey's life was full of a wide variety of experiences, which included owning her own company, Wachamacallit, Productions from 1987 until her death.

For 20 years she was a partner in Down East Antiques, and from 1969 to 1975 she was the editor for American Geological Institute, Washington, DC. She was a graduate of Arizona State University, Tempe and the American School for International Tour Directing.

Speaking three languages and being a self starter and possessing an aptitude for details, she was a valued tour director and a delight for all who traveled with her. Her lifetime interests included membership in the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC and serving as an adult board member of the B'nai B'rith Youth group.

Her talents and creativity may be lost forever, but her love of life for her family and friends will be in our hearts and memories forever. She was a loyal friend and a beloved daughter and mother.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 23rd, 11:00 A.M. at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd.

Arrangements are being handled by Sinai Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be sent to the Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC or a charity of your choice.
