Lorenzo (Larry) Cantreras

Lorenzo "Larry" Contreras, 76, died July 24 [2003] at his residence in Claypool. He was born in Miami and was a lifelong area resident.

He was an Army veteran and worked at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company for 30 years. After retiring, he worked for the United States Forest Service and various other jobs. He was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda of Claypool; one son, Richard of Phoenix; two daughters, Grace of Tempe and Mary Jane of Chandler; five step-children, Kathy, Sheryl, Johnny, Buddy and Danny; one sister, Luisa Mesa; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today (Wednesday, July 30) at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami. Interment will follow at Pinal Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Mortuary
