Mary Louise Groce of Congress, died Feb. 28 in Sun City. She was 79.

Mrs. Groce was born July 30, 1922 in Pleasant Hill, Mo.

She met her late husband, George W. Croce, in Washington, where they were married in 1940. The couple lived in Washington, Oregon, California, Texas and Arizona throughout their 51-1/2 half years of marriage.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include two daughters, Fran Wittenbraker (Chuck) of Congress, and Nancy Johnson (Bill) of Clinton, Mich.; sister Waunita Stott of Yakima, Wash.; grandchildren Julie Simon (Roger), Danielle Levenson Vanlaningham (Tom), Cliff Barton (Tommie), Charlies Wittenbraker III (Julie), Corin Johnson and Kent Johnson (Nancy); 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Joseph T. Parish and Nettie F. Hunt; and brothers William H. Parrish, Arthur C. Armstrong and Glenn R. Armstrong. Mary was laid to rest in the Congress Cemetery.
