Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, March 19, 2008 Betty Ruth McMains, age 75, passed away March 17, 2008. She was born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Betty graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1950. She followed her career as a bookkeeper for 35 years while raising her children. Betty was a daughter to Clarence and Eunice Kellar and sister to Elaine Smith and Edward Kellar (deceased). Betty married Dudley McMains on June 11, 1966. She was a mother to Ivan McMains (Lenore) of McKenzie, Tenn., Douglas McMains (Pam) of Duke, Okla., Denise McMains of Carroll, Iowa, Edwina Chillquist (Chilli) of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Valerie Jacobsen (Lou) of Goshen, Ind., Vernon McMains of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Sheila Rosales of Duke, Okla.; grandmother to 12 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Eunice Kellar, her brother Edward Kellar and her husband of 42 years, Dudley McMains. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008, at Heritage Memorial Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Heritage Memorial Mortuary. Information provided by survivors. |
