Bee, Modesto, CA Thursday, March 30, 1967 Ulysses G Browning, 87, of Ceres died yesterday in a Modesto hospital after a long illness. A native of Tennessee he had lived in Ceres five years and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Ceres. He was a retired government worker. Survivors are his widow, Etta Lea; 11 children, Marie Woods, Robert H Browning, Ruby S Goldsby and Emma Jean Cordell, all of San Diego, Marvin T Browning of Fremont, William H Browning of Ceres, Bernice Woolfe of Seattle, Thomas J Browning of Pleasant Hill, Pauline Coffinger of Arizona, Effie Thompson of Texas and Mary Ann Shephard of Maryland; 47 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held in Wickenburg, Ariz. Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is in charge. See Also: Find A Grave |
