Ina I. (Morris) Reading

Ina I. Reading died March 27, 2008, at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott. She was born Nov. 10, 1911, in Salem, Ind., to Anson and Delia (Denny) Morris.

Ina received a BS in Home Economics from Purdue University June 12, 1934. Her career was with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 17 years and her region was comprised of 11 midwestern states. She married Raymond Reading on April 18, 1955. They moved to Prescott in 1966 and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1979.

Ina was a member of Home Economists in Home and Community; American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences; and the Arizona and American Association of University Women. She was very active in the Republican Party, Republican Women of Prescott and the National Federation of Republican Women. She enjoyed attending financial seminars and informative classes at Yavapai College.

Ina is survived by her sister, Marcella Cauble; her brother Edmond Morris; 15 nieces and nephews; and friend Mary Suazo. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Dessa Hirtzel and Catherine Rosenbaum; and her brothers, Osborne Morris and Elbert Morris.

Private family services have taken place. Cremation took place at Bradshaw Crematory, with internment at Mountain View Cemetery.
