Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, March 20, 2008 Ross D. Hunt, age 82, of Dewey, Ariz., passed away March 19, 2008, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born July 12, 1925, in Pimento, Ind. He was preceded in death by his wife Dora in May of 2004. Ross is survived by a son, Larry Hunt, and a daughter, Donna Brooks, both of Dewey. Other survivors include sisters Christine Edmondson, Freda Hayworth and Norma Jean Strain of Terra Haute, Ind.; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ross was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and POW. During his work life here, he worked in the building industry as a contractor. His family will remember him as having little worldly wisdom but great Godly wisdom. Commemoration services in honor of Ross will be at 3 p.m. March 22, 2008, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Full Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post #6, Prescott, Ariz. Burial will follow the services at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northern Arizona Chapter, 225 Grove Ave., Prescott, AZ 86301.
