Joseph C. Volrich, age 86, CMSGT United States Air Force, departed for his final duty station on March 22, 2008.

Born in 1922, he proudly served this nation during WWII, Korea and Vietnam as a member of the USMC, USN and the USAF.

His career spanned more than 30 years with military assignments in most of the hot spots around the world during that time.

To complete his final mission, he leaves behind his wife Merle; eight children; 27 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial in honor of Joseph will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008, at St. Germaine’s Catholic Church, Prescott Valley, Ariz., with a visitation 0ne hour prior to services at
the church. Full military honors will be provided by Luke Air Force Base Honor Detail.

A luncheon for family and friends will follow the services at the church. Inurnment will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at a later date.

The family of Joseph suggests memorials in his memory be made to the Hospice Family Care Foundation, 100 E. Sheldon St. #100, Prescott, AZ 86301.
