Lorenz G. Hopfer, 95, passed on October 28, 2004. He was born in Minden, Nebraska. He and his parents and sisters later moved to Deshler, NB.

He attended the University of Nebraska and became a dentist. He became a dentist during WWII. He served on a submarine tender and a destroyer. He served in Guam, and Japan. He reached the rank of Captain.

He was a resident of Sun City West and a member of Sun City West Baptist Church. He enjoyed golf in his younger years. He was active in the Mason's.

He was preceded in death by his wife Faye.

He is survived by his son William of Little Elm, Texas and daughter Margie of Oakdale, California.
