John Arthur Lothman

John Arthur Lothman was born to Arthur and Anna Lothman on Feb. 24, 1935, in Salina, Kan. A true gentleman, he departed for his final travel adventure at 12:41 p.m. on April 1, 2008.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University and traveled the world in his career as a Professional Mechanical Engineer. He served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of captain. He was also the first member of his Boy Scout troop to reach the rank of Eagle Scout.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Renae; sons Paul, Carl and Eric (Pam) Lothman; stepsons Gregory (Esther) and Marc Seagren; grandchildren Alice, Arthur, Allen, Arianna, Shawn and Ryan Lothman, Eric, Patrick, Clinton, Richard, Christine, Alissa, Raschell, Steven, and Jennifer Seagren; sister Doris Bradley; nephews David (Sharon), Steven (Susan) and Ron Frye; and many loving and caring neighbors and friends around the world.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at Hampton Funeral home located at 240 S. Cortez St. in Prescott, Ariz. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the American Evangelical Lutheran Church located 1085 Scott Drive in Prescott, Ariz. Luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or YRMC Hospice.
