Harold D. (Hal) Geesey

Harold “Hal” D. Geesey died March 29, 2008, at his home in Prescott, Ariz. He was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Allentown, Pa., the son of John and Lila (Maginnes) Geesey. Hal was 86 years old.

Hal married the love of his life, Judy, June 21, 1975. They shared nearly 33 wonderful years together. He served in the U.S. Navy based out of Pearl Harbor Sub-base. He retired as a mechanical engineer with GTE. He and Judy moved to Prescott in 2000. They could be found almost daily having lunch at the Cattleman’s Grill. Hal was dedicated to a regimen of exercising three times a week at the Pendleton Center. He was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and belonged to American Legion Post #6.

Hal is survived by Judy; his daughter, Jenny Lynn (Thomas) Fortsch and their son, Thomas Steven; other children Joann Shepard and Jeffrey Geesey, two additional grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There will be a gathering of family and friends niche-side at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 231 Smoke Tree Lane, with military honors provided by American Legion Post #6.

Hal requested memorials to the church.
