Logan Brimhall, 88, of Wellton, Arizona, passed away April 2, 2005. He was born in Thatcher, Arizona, February 27, 1917 to Andrew and Edna BRIMHALL.

He came to the Wellton-Mohawk Valley in 1952 with Arizona Fertilizers.

He was a math & science teacher at Antelope High School, and farmed for over 50 years. Farming was his passion.

He served as president in Kiwanis, on the Antelope High School Board, with the Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation District, the National Water Board, as a 4-H leader, and as a patron of numerous charities. He was widely known in the WM-Valley as a community builder and volunteer.

He had friends throughout the state and spoke at many of their funerals. Logan enjoyed singing and performed on many occasions accompanied by his wife, Catherine. He sang in a barbershop quartet with local farmers.

Logan was the president of the first branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Wellton, serving again later as bishop. He was also a high councilman. He attended Eastern Arizona College (Gila Jr. College). He received a B.S. in agro-chemistry at the University of Arizona and a masters in math and science at Arizona State University.

Logan is preceded in death by his son, Allan Frederic BRIMHALL; a grandson, John B.J. BENSON; and a great-grandson, Noah Andrew OLSON.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Catherine JARVIS BRIMHALL and children: Arthur Randolph BRIMHALL, Judith HILLEARY, Irene SULLIVAN, Elaine KOHLER, Doris ASH, and Andrea BENSON; along with 26 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at the Wellton Ward Building, 8824 S. Ave 36 E (Exit 36 from I-8).

A favorite charity was the East County Animal Guardian Angels, P.O. Box 1072, Wellton, AZ. 85356.
