Jeannette Felicia (Heitler) Smith - Davis

Jeannette Davis, 83, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away January 1, 2005. Born Jeannette Felicia Heitler in British Honduras, she came to the United States as a teenager as did her many brothers and sisters.

Preceded in death were her husbands, Thomas A. SMITH and Ray J. DAVIS.

Jeannette received a bachelors degree from Southern Illinois University and masters degrees from Arizona State University and The University of Hawaii. She taught in the Scottsdale Public School system for over thirty years and was head librarian at Scottsdale High School and Saguaro High School.

Jeannette enjoyed tennis, reading, music and traveling. She was very active in the Christian Church where she was the organist and taught Sunday School for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Phil of Carefree, AZ, Jack of Tulsa, OK and eight grandchildren.

Graveside services were at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ.

In lieu of flowers family asks that donations be made in Jeannette's honor to Camelback Christian Church, 6235 E. Camelback Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251.
