Bobbie Dow Hale

Longtime Globe-Miami resident Bobby Dow Hale died Aug. 7 [2003] in Chandler after a battle with cancer.

He served in the U.S. Navy where he learned his trade as a mechanic. He retired from Phelps Dodge in 2001 as a supervisor.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hale; three children and their spouses, Kevin and Karla Hale of Tucson, and Jon and Kare Swanson and Michael and Lorri Moreno of Phoenix; two brothers, Vernon Hale of Tempe and Hughey Paul Hale of Morenci; six sisters, Betty Huggins and Sharon Hale of Globe, Sue Barney of Alamogordo, N.M., Ozella Hale of Oregon, Dorene Linvelle of New Mexico, and Lorene Crutchfield of Montana; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at St. John's Episcoal Church in Globe.
