Peter James Di Stasi died Dec. 31, 2004, in Queen Creek, Ariz. He was 42. Born Dec. 20, 1962, at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Lewis C. Di STASI Jr. and Mary M. Di STASI of Highland. Raised in Highland, he graduated from Highland High School in 1981 with a Regents diploma and played JV and varsity football. He attended Dutchess Community College and graduated in 1983 with an associate's degree. He attended Arizona State University from 1983 to 1986 and then entered the business world. He will be missed for his wit, unique humor and his loyalty as a friend to all who knew him.

He had a great love for his family, which was extended and spread geographically. He loved his newborn niece, Kala Elena, very much and spent hours with her as a caregiver. His booming voice, charismatic laugh and his attentiveness to his family's and friends' needs will always be remembered by them.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland.

Burial was in the family plot in Highland Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Michael J. Torsone Memorial Funeral Home in Highland.
