The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 13, 2005 Harmony Kathleen Creagh MELNYCHUK, age 50, a resident of Scottsdale, AZ passed away Monday, February 7, 2005. Born March 15, 1954 in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, Canada the fifth child of Adrian and Betty CREAGH, she attended St. George Elementary and Middle Schools, Mclurg High School and Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Harmony graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe with high honors, earning a degree in interior design. While at university Harmony earned an apprenticeship at Taliesin West in Scottsdale. A working apprenticeship in London, England was also awarded to her while a student at ASU. She has worked in the architecture and design community of Arizona , most recently employed in design with FM Group, Inc. Harmony celebrated her 50th birthday by running her first marathon for the 2004 Valley of the Sun "Team Diabetes" marathon, helping to raise funds and awareness for the Diabetes Foundation of Arizona. She was actively involved in her children's education volunteering as an Art Masterpiece mentor at their schools. Preceded in death by an infant brother, Tony, and her father, Adrian, Harmony is survived by her devoted husband Bob, married September 1981, and their precious twins Katie and Max born on their mother's birthday, March 15, 1992. Harmony is remembered by her mother, Betty STEAD CREAGH of Edmonton and siblings: Irene and (Ron) SWARBRICK of Unity, Saskatchewan; Maurice and (Diana) CREAGH of Vancouver; George and (Jean) CREAGH of Calgary; Shelagh and (Dave) DABBS of Edmonton; Patrick and (Judy) CREAGH of Vancouver; Theresa and (Michael) BLOOR of Iquilat, Nunuvat, Canada; Louise and (Chip) HAYNES of Vancouver. Also remembering Harmony are her relatives: cousin Stephen HARTLEY of London, England; cousin Brenda LESLIE of Victoria, Canada; cousin Rhonda WEHRHAHN of Edmonton; cousin Lisa REID of Tucson ; grand niece Nicola DRAKE and grand nephew Lucas DRAKE of Phoenix. Harmony left us from her home comforted by her family and friends with the goodness of Hospice of the Valley. The family is deeply grateful for the generous support they have received throughout Harmony's illness. Specifically the entire design community, the engineering firm NSB, Inc. of Phoenix and their loving friends and neighbors. Memorial services were held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, N. Miller Road, Scottsdale. See Also: ASU Memoriam |
