Nancy Sue (Spurlock) Stewart

Nancy Sue Spurlock Stewart died Feb. 14, 2005. She was born Dec. 31, 1933 in Phoenix, Arizona to Ernest and Ethel SPURLOCK.

Her parents and her siblings Joyce SPURLOCK HUNSICKER BURKHOLDER, Charles SPURLOCK and Floyd SPURLOCK preceded her in death.

She graduated from Phoenix Union High School and Arizona State University. She was particularly proud of completing her master's degree in education at ASU while working full time. She was a devoted teacher of elementary school students at Hartford Elementary School in Chandler until poor health forced her to retire.

She was a longtime member of the Chandler Church of Christ, National Education Association and Arizona Education Association and Delta Kappa Gamma.

Survivors include her daughter, Sally STEWART; grandsons, Padraic HAINES and Colin HAINES; and many relatives and friends. She will be missed.

Visitation and funeral services at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 719 N. 27 Ave., Phoenix.
