Nadine Block Robinson was born Nov. 26, 1913, in Pittsburgh, Kan. She entered into eternal life on Nov. 20, 2005, in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Nadine was well known in Prescott in the 1930s as she was a member of the Little Theater Group and articles were published in the newspaper about the plays she appeared in. Her grandfather, Ed Block, arrived with his family in 1895 and his name is still on the front of his store building on Whiskey Row.

He was one of the organizers of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and Nadine followed in his footsteps by working for Grace Sparkes in the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and the Yavapai County Chamber of Commerce in the '30s for approximately five years.

Nadine was an avid traveler touring 110 countries and all 50 states in her lifetime. She loved meeting people and everyone was a friend.

She belonged to the Delta Zeta Sorority, receiving her 65-year member recognition certificate recently. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Yavapai Chapter in Prescott, Ariz., and held several state offices, the Allikik chapter in Santa Clarita, Calif., and a member of NARFE.

She worked for the U.S. government for 33 years until retiring in 1973 in Saudi Arabia. She and her husband Jack moved back to Prescott after retirement.

Nadine lived in Prescott for 27 years and volunteered at Sharlot Hall Museum and the Smoki Museum for many years. She moved to Santa Clarita in 2004 to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Her husband Jack P. R. Robinson preceded her in death in 1990.

She is survived by her son, Ernest L. Robinson (Jeannette) of Auburn, Wash.; daughter, Brenda L. Zaborac (Joseph) of Santa Clarita, Calif.; son, Huber H. Robison; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She also has numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews surviving her.

Her family says, "she lived a full life, lived it to the fullest, and was an inspiration to all who met her. She will be greatly missed."

Memorial services were held Nov. 29, 2005, at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif.

Anyone desiring to send condolences to the family can send them to Brenda Zaborac & family, 21432 Tumbleweed Way, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.
