Russell Dennis Harbert, Jr., 77, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away after a long illness on November 29, 2002 in Tucson. He was born August 6, 1925 in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He received his Masters Degree from ASU. He devoted most of his working career as an electrical engineer at Motorola. At retirement he donated his time to S.C.O.R.E. helping others start their own business. He is preceded in death by his spouses Erma and secondly Lois. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children; Amy Ginn (husband David), Nancy Von Wald (husband Mark), Kent Rickels (wife Joanne), and Kim Rickels-Alosi (husband Anthony) and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at Green Acres Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona with one-hour prior visitation. Please make memorial contributions in memory of Russ to the Miniature Schnauzer Rescue c/o C.A.B.R.A., 1114 N. 80th Dr., Goodyear, AZ 85338. He took delight in being with his dogs and working on his stamp collection. His resiliency and strength will be with us forever. May he eternally rest in peace.
