Phyllis J. Hooten, 61, of Dewey, AZ. passed away Tuesday, Aug 7, 2007 at her home.

She was born to Phillip and Marjorie Granus in Bethesda, Maryland September 20, 1945.

The family moved to California several months later where Phyllis would grow up.

As a young girl, she loved to sing and play music in her father, Rev. Granus', Pentecostal church.

She left a successful career with the Pacific Bell telephone company to marry her husband, Howard G. Hooten, of Arizona in 1971.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; son Bobby; daughter Susan (Justin) Sikorski and their three children, Allie, 11, Kelly, 9, and Jacob, 5, her mother, Marjorie Granus of California, and brother Randy Granus of California.

Phyllis is currently enjoying her welcome reception in Heaven by Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be Friday, August 10, 2007 from 5pm to 8pm at Heritage Memory Mortuary 131 Grove Ave. Prescott, Az. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 2pm at the Praise Center of Prescott Valley 2820 Mountain View Dr. Prescott Valley, Az.
