The Wickenburg Sun Wednesday, December 15, 1993 AMES, Juanita Juanita B. Ames of Wickenburg died December 6, 1993, at Wickenburg Community Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Ames was born August 19, 1913, in Rapid City, Michigan, and had lived in Arizona for 35 years. She was a founder and past president of the Arizona Small Business Association and had been featured in the publication of Who's Who in Americas Women. She was a nurse in the Phoenix area for many years. She and her husband had owned and operated a newspaper, the "Business Review" in Sunnyslope, AZ. Mrs. Ames is survived by sons, Bill Sova of Canada and Lance Stevens of Vermont; daughter, Cindy of California; sister, Violet Zimmerman of Lansing, Michigan; brothers, Robert and Charles Burchem; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Azel Ames and a son, Mike Ames. Services will be held Friday, December 17, 1993, at 10:00 a.m., at Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Robert Goldenberg will officiate. There will be a private cremation. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements. |
