The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, October 13, 1993 Harold Bailey of Wickenburg and formerly of Chelsea, Michigan, died Sept. 24, 1993, at his home. He was 71. Mr. Bailey was born Dec. 23, 1921, in Salyersville, Kentucky, and had lived in Wickenburg since 1984, moving here from Chelsea. He was a World War II veteran and a retired pipefitter from Local No. 190. He also greatly enjoyed hunting and playing cards. Mr. Bailey married Betty Aldrich in Chelsea on Nov. 6, 1946, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Ball of Grass Lake and Mrs. Richard (Jeanette) Smith of Wickenburg; brothers Mort and Markis of Stockbridge and Hilord of Mason; sisters Mae Picklesimer of Chelsea, June Walz and Shirley Marshall, both of Alabama, Louise Clark of Tennessee, and Irene Wallen of Indiana; grandchildren Michael Ball of Chelsea, Michelle Hadley of Grass Lake, and Dawn and Kimberly Smith of Wickenburg; great-grandchildren Lacey Hadley and Amanda Ball. He was preceded in death by his brother Harles. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1993, at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, with Pastor Coyne Holiday officiating. Interment is at Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation. Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea handled the arrangements. |
