| THOMAS J. BARRETT September 1854-June 1, 1921 T. J. Barrett, well known resident of Casa Grande died unexpectedly Tuesday night at the Weaver Ranch, after an illness of about three days. Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Peart visited him Tuesday evening, and while he was rather ill they were shocked to learn the next morning of his death. Mr. Barrett was 69 years old last September and with the exception of two years spent in Indian Territory, has been a resident of Arizona for the past 25 years, most of the time having been spent in the vicinity of Wickenburg where he operated mining property. He owned considerable property in the valley among which is some lots in the Myers addition and a half interest in 120 acres west of town. He was administrator of the estate of Lola W. Lee and William Lee, and guardian of Thompson Lee, youngest of the Lees. The funeral services took place Thursday at 2:30 and interment took place in the private cemetery of the Weavers. Mr. Barrett was a man of kindly nature and had many friends who appreciated and admired him for his splendid qualities. Casa Grande Valley Dispatch Friday, June 3, 1921 Vol. 10- No. 19 |
