Alfred M. (Rocky) Verdugo

Alfred M. (Rocky) Verdugo May 20, 1924 - April 17, 2008.

Preceded in death by previous wife, Ortencia (Tenchi) Verdugo; sister, Mary Valencia; brother, Manuel Verdugo; daughter, Lena Verdugo and granddaughter, Selena Burney.

Survived by wife, Herminia Verdugo; sons, Fred (Barbara) Verdugo and Manny Verdugo; daughters, Christina (Carl, deceased) Hornsby and Gloria Verdugo and sister, Laura (Al) Kovack; grandchildren Rocky and Mundo Hornsby, Brenda, Fred, Mike and Lisa Verdugo, Alex Burney, Nicholas Ashcroft; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

He served proudly in the United States Navy during WWII. Rocky brought joy and smiles to everyone he knew, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A special thanks to Hospice and the staff at Oaktree for their wonderful care of Rocky.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

Mass will be offered Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 801 N. Grande Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
