Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, September 20, 2005 Frederick Wilton Younger, age 89, died on Sept. 15,2005, at Samaritan Care Village in Prescott, the day before his 90th birthday. He was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Sawyers Bar. Calif., the son of Robert Lee and Mary Lillian Young Younger. He married Phyllis Gale Hedgpeth on Nov. 28, 1941, and she died in 1984. Mr. Younger grew up in Medford, Ore. And attended Oregon State University in Corvallis. He worked as an engineer for the Department of Defense. He was a member of the American Society of Electrical Engineers and enjoyed golf and photography. He spent 63 years of his life in Napa, Calif., and moved to Arizona in 2004. Two weeks before his death, his family had a 90th birthday celebration, attended by all of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his two sons and their spouses, Ronald (Regina) of Prescott and Stephen (Joleen) of Arlington, Wash.; four grandchildren, Cole, Lea, Jana and Jeff; and four great grandchildren, Cade, Levi, Zoe and Camden. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Cremation was private at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Burial will take place in Napa, Calif.
