Erwin Walter Emil Seevers of Peoria, Arizona, formerly of Bend, Oregon, died on April 28, 2003 at age 89 years, 10 months, and 24 days. He was born June 4, 1913 in Herrick, South Dakota, the youngest of 13 children born to John and Wilhelmina Seevers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma nee Werner, his parents, 7 brothers, and 5 sisters. Erwin spent much of his boyhood at the farm homes of his elder brothers and sisters in Nebraska, and attended Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Illinois, and the Life Insurance Marketing Institute at Purdue University later in life. He was a life long member of the Lutheran Church and worked many years in sales and instructing, retiring from The Elba Systems Corporation in 1969 and settling in Oregon. In 1994 he moved permanently to Arizona. He is surivived by is wife, Delores, his children Terrence of Albany, Oregon, Faith Markham and Sylvia Bley of Sun City, Arizona, 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grand-children and 3 great-great grandchilren. Memorial service will be held, Thursday, May 8, 2003, 11:00am, at Paradise Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14845 N. 40th St, Sunland Mortuary is in Charge of arrangements.
