Irene (Watson) Lewis

Irene Lewis, age 87, died May 6, 2008, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born March 2, 1921, in Henryetta, Okla., to James Earnest and Ottie Mae Watson. She had lived in Arizona since 1938 and moved to the Prescott area in 1983 from Chandler, Ariz.

Irene is survived by her three sons and their families, Tony Wayne Lewis of Greenwood, Alaska, Woody and wife Nancy Lewis of Prescott, Albert and wife Rosalie Lewis of Slagle, La.; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother and five sisters, Lester Watson, Esther Dansky, Sadie Caswell, Frances Stengall, Ruby Rackley and Carol Thorpe. Irene will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Floyd Lewis, in 1990 and by one of her sons, James (Jim) Lewis, in 1998.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.
