Dolores M. DeWolf died May 1, 2008, at the Peridot Assisted Living facility, which had been her home since 2001.

Dolores was born June 25, 1921, in Pocatello, Idaho, and grew up in Michigan, except for the few years that her family spend homesteading in Idaho. She attended college in Michigan and her skills were refined as a bookkeeper for the City of Detroit.

Dolores and the love of her life, husband Robert, lived in the Groom Creek area for most of the past 30 years. She loved nature, feeding the birds, and especially liked cats, her favorite being “Blackie.” She and Robert enjoyed going to the movies and she was an avid reader of mysteries.

She will be greatly missed by her friends at the Peridot and those far and near. She is survived by four nieces, Janet Krawulski and Kristine Paul of Michigan and Joyce and Cynthia Bernier of Apache Junction.

“Thank you” to all the special caregivers and nurses for your love and support.

Private cremation took place earlier. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Peridot.

Donations in Dolores’ name may be made to Hospice of the Pines, 13175 E. Highway 169, Dewey, AZ 86327, or to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2017, Prescott, AZ 86302.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with fianl arrangements.
