| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 16, 2003 Donald E. Pfile, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away April 11, 2003. Donald was born in Rootstown, Ohio on December 20, 1924. Service will be held April 21st, 10 am at Arizona Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Hospice of the Valley. Born in Rootstown, Ohio, Donald was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific. He moved to Phoenix in 1966 where he worked as diesel technician for 22 years. Donald was a member of the American Legion Post I in Phoenix. He is survived by his wife Ethel; brother Glenn; 4 children Peggy, Jim, Matt, and John; 3 stepchildren Debbie, Sheila, and Brian; and 8 grandchildren.
