Katie E. Weaver Funeral is Held

Casa Grande - Nov. 4, [1940]

...Last rites were held at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Casa Grande for Mrs. Katie E. Weaver, mother of Alva Weaver of Florence and Earl E. Weaver of Casa Grande. The Rev. Lambreth E. Hancock conducted the services at the church, and members of the Eastern Star officiated at the graveside. Pallbearers were A. M. Peck, Amandus Peters, Sr., Harry Mandell, R.E. McNatt, W.P. Clements and E. G. Lavers.

Mrs. Charles Whitlow and Mrs. W. W. Cochran of Florence, accompanied by Mrs. H. G. Richardson at the piano sang.

Mrs. Weaver was born at Sacaton on October 24, 1875 [the daughter of Peter and Anna Forbach] and was married to Walter Weaver on February 2, 1899. For eighteen years she was affiliated with the treasurer's office in Florence. Surviving are her sons, two brothers, W. J. Forbach of Superior and Albert C. Forbach of Casa Grande and six grandchildren, Walter, Hazel, Billy, Charles, Carole Ann Weaver and Wanda Weaver.

Interment was in the family plot at the old Arizola townsite east of town.
