The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, February 2, 2010 Harold H. Kirkley, 96, of Sedona died January 26. He was born January 15, 1914 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Herbert and Dessie Bell Thornton Kirkley. He was a graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana. He served his country in the Army. Mr. Kirkley worked as a life insurance salesman. His memberships included YMCA and Church of the Red Rocks. His hobbies included tennis and college football. He was preceded by his wife Lydia Kirkley. Mr. Kirkley leaves daughter Leila and her husband Richard Metzner of Sedona and daughter Trudy; and sister Treva Mester of Phoenix; grandson Ian (and his wife Angela) Shulman and a great-grandchild Isa Lydia Shulman.
