ERASTUS L. ROSS OF CONGRESS SUMMONED

Congress- Congress residents were grieved last week at the passing of Erastus Lawton Ross. Mr Ross succumbed at his home in Congress after a long illness on Wednesday, January 14. He is survived by his wife, Martha J. Ross; a daughter, Georgia Anne; a brother, Edwin T. Ross of Buchanan, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs M. E. Southard of Detroit, Mich., Mrs Glenn Miller of Woodland, Ga., and Mrs Harold Williams of Forsyth, Ga. Services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 15, at Palms Chapel, Grimshaw Mortuary in Phx. Private cremation followed in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mr Ross came to Congress in September but in a few short months had made many friends who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the widow and daughter. Mr and Mrs Ray B. Robertson, Mrs Ross' parents, who are visiting in Congress, were present at the services. They will return to their home in Ionia, Mich., in the near future.
