Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, January 28, 2004 Jimmie Lee Dorris, of Phoenix, AZ was born May 14, 1932 and went to his reward December 22, 2003. Do not grieve for he is free and finally enjoying his Cheeseburger. Jim was born in Flint, MI to James H. and Leona Drake Dorris, was predeceased by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Audrey; 3 daughters Christie (David) Stillwell, Kimberlee (Alan) Rossi and Karen (Ron) Kolbu; grandchildren Jamie Lee Marrazzo and Krista Marrazzo of Gilroy, CA, David Rossi and Sarah Rossi of Gilroy, CA. Jim served in the Air Force and became a big fan of Square dancing from the Gilroy Gliders in California to the Swing Stars, Caller's Club and many others throughout the valley. Then he found barber shop singing in a chorus. The Cactus Chordsmen enjoyed his songs. Also a devoted member of St. Paul's Choir and the Harvest House. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 330 W. Coral Gables, Phoenix, AZ. Arrangements Hansen Mortuary. |
