| Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Tuesday, February 9, 2010 David William Seery, 62, formerly of Flagstaff, died peacefully Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at his home near La Joya, N.M. Mr. Seery was a graduate of New Mexico State University and spent a full career as a wildlife biologist for the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), now referred to as Natural Resources and Conservation Service (NRCS). In his retirement, he volunteered with stream reparation work for the New Mexico Riparian Council. He served as an Airman First Class in the New Mexico Air National Guard and was a Vietnam War veteran. He held memberships in The Wildlife Society, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Rickshaws Motor Club and Route 66 Rodders. His passion and love of life was evident in his dedication to caring for and enjoying family, working with wildlife, fly fishing, hunting, playing music and writing books on family genealogy. He also enjoyed sailing, writing hunting articles for various magazines, traveling and participating in car shows with family and friends. Mr. Seery is survived by his wife and friend Carol; sons Chris and Scott; two daughters-in-law, Joy and Keavy; four grandchildren; sisters Margaret Snow of Carlsbad, N.M. and Marilyn Beal of Denver; his brother and wife Al and Josephine Seery of Bosque Farms, N.M.; brother-in-law and good friend, Bruce L. Anderson of Silver City, N.M.; and numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews and an aunt. Graveside services will be Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, N.M.
