Jim Eugene Custin Sr. of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away on May 10, 2008, at the age of 60.

He was surrounded by his family. Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann, and sons Chuck, Jim and Kacey. Jim had three grandchildren, Ashley, Syler and Cian, and Amanda due later this month. Jim was a Vietnam veteran and served honorably in the Navy as a SEABEE. Many were touched by his gentle spirit during his 25 years portraying Santa.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his family and his faith.

Note: Jim passed away from injuried sustained in a motorcycle accident.

A burial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Ariz. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Prescott Valley Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7885 E. Long Look Drive, Prescott Valley, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be setting up a trust fund for Kacey, as he is only 13. Please contact The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mingus Foothills Ward, for information.
