| Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, May 15, 2008 Shirley Jean Schnitzius died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at her son’s home in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Nov. 16, 1923, in Cloquet, Minn., the daughter of Jess and Mildred (Nichols) Sherrick. She was 84 years old. Shirley married the love of her life, George, on Sept. 1, 1950. They raised four beautiful children together, moving to Prescott in 1971. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, George; sons Brent and Mark (Jeannine) Schnitzius; daughter Jan (Pat) Moynihan and Jean (Kevin) Hall; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law Eddie Machon. She is preceded in death by her sister, Pat Machon, and grandson Brian. She will be greatly missed. A gathering of friends and family will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St. in Prescott.
