Visitation will be 5PM - 7 PM, w/Rosary at 6PM Monday, April 21, 2003 at Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel, 410 W. Roosevelt Ave., Coolidge, AZ 85228. Services will be held 10AM, Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at St. James Catholic Church, 410 W. Wilson Ave., Coolidge, AZ 85228. Contributions to RTA Hospice Foundation, 1675 E. Monument Plaza Drive, Casa Grande, AZ 85222. Arrangements by Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Marie Unger By By: Staff Reports Marie Ann Unger, 91, of Casa Grande died April 16, 2003 in Casa Grande. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel. Rosary was recited at 6. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church by the Rev. Christopher Orndorff. Burial was in Valley of the Sun Memorial Park in Chandler. Mrs. Unger was born Sept. 1, 1911 in Demock, S.D., to Carl and Susanna Mechtemberg. She was a child care provider in her home for many years. She also was a food service worker for the Coolidge Unified School District before retirement. Her family was important to her, and she was an active member of St. James Catholic Church. She was a great cook, especially of German food. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Price of Coolidge; a son, James Unger of Orofino, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wendelin, in 1988; two sons, Tom and Donald Unger; and eight siblings. Memorial contributions may be made to: RTA Hospice Foundation, 1675 E.
