The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, April 20, 2003 Joan M. Sindelar, 71, of Phoenix, died on April 12, 2003. Joan played professional baseball for the All American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1949 to 1953. She taught school in Kalamazoo, MI and in Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by Yvonne Jacques, 3 nieces in Chicago, and many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 23rd, 2003 at Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, 717 West Dobbins Road, Phx., AZ.
