Marcia Foster, 69, passed away on May 18, 2008, at her home in Prescott after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born May 21, 1938, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Russ and Lorene Harrison.

Marcia’s husband of nearly 48 years, Charles, survives her. She is also survived by three sons, Randy (Heidi) Foster and Kevin (Karen) Foster of Prescott Valley, and Steve (Shelley) Foster of Phoenix; two sisters, Anita (Jim) Mosley of Buckeye and Gay (Bud) Gingerich of Prescott; and brother Wayne (Callie) Harrison of Panama City, Fla.

She is also survived by nine beloved grandchildren, Jared (Tiffany), Timothy (Jamie), Brian, Michael, Stephanie, Diane, Wesley, Jasmine and Taylor; and four great-grandchildren, Joey, Heidi, Adam and Preston.

Marcia graduated from Prescott High School in 1956, and attended Willis Business School in Santa Monica, Calif. They owned and operated Charlie’s Meats in Prescott and, for the past 21 years, the General Sharpening Shop.

In January 1975, Marcia and Charlie gave their lives to Jesus Christ, and for more than 30 years served the Lord together at the Potter’s House Christian Center in Prescott. For 20 years, they operated the church’s tape ministry, ministering to and making friends of people all over the world.

Marcia faced cancer with courage, faith in God’s loving care, and a never-ending sense of humor.

She enjoyed collecting dolls, teacups and saucers, and spoons that friends would bring her from other countries. She loved to garden and, for many years, canned her family’s fruits and vegetables. She was especially noted for her creative ways with zucchini. She loved camping, picnicking and visiting with family.
