Raymond (Chuco) Acosta

Raymond “Chuco” Acosta, born Dec. 4, 1947, in Bagdad, Ariz., to Ramon and Anita Acosta, died Sunday, May 18, 2008.

A longtime resident of Prescott, he loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and one brother, Ronnie Acosta.

He is survived by four sisters, Rosie Rocha of Phoenix, Lily Gonzales, Lupe Medina and Augustine Madrid of Tucson; four brothers, Jesse Acosta of Tucson, David Acosta of Chino Valley, and Rudy and Ted Acosta of Prescott Valley. He is also survived by his namesake, Raymond Acosta, born Aug. 21, 2007; 92 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Chuco, you will live forever in our hearts.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at Sacred Heart Cathol ic Church in Prescott. The recitation of the Rosary will follow at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.
