The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/14/2003 William Solesky, 86, died March 8, 2003 in Lakeside. Bill was trained as an electronics technician and worked for the Zenith Radio Corp. in Chicago, Illinois, for 25 years. He met Millicent Petersen and they were married in 1941. After retiring they moved to Phoenix where he was instrumental in the early stages of developing the Legend City Amusement Park. He later worked for the Scottsdale Public Schools as an audio-visual technician. He loved fishing with his grandchildren and traveling after his retirement. Bill is survived by one son, Marty Solesky of Lakeside; one granddaughter, Vanessa Solesky of Lakeside; two grandsons, Brett Solesky of Phoenix and Victor (Cindy) Solesky of Queen Creek. He was preceded in death by one son, John Michael Solesky; two brothers and two sisters. Private family services will be held. Owens Mortuary is handling the arrangements. |
