Hubert Towery of Tucson and a frequent visitor of the Stanton-Octave mine, died Friday, May 28, 1993, in Stanton-Octave. He was 60.

Mr. Towery was born Aug. 26, 1932 at Blairsville, Georgia, and had lived in Arizona for 14 years.

He was a retired Master Sergeant in the Army, a past Master Mason from his mother lodge in Mannhiem, Germany, where he belonged to the Lost Dutchman's Mining Association and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Towery is survived by his wife, Joan, of Tucson; sons, David of London, England, and Danny of Chico, Calif.; brothers Monroe and Steven of Georgia; sisters Jimmie Sue of Oklahoma, Grovie of Georgia, and Frances of Michigan.

Memorial services will be held Thursday afternoon, June 3, 1993, at the Davis Memorial Air Force Base in Tucson, with Military Chaplain John Tencher officiating. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
