Charles Nasser Rites Thursday

Funeral services were scheduled to be held Thursday morning of this week in St. George’s Syrian Orthodox Church at Terre Haute, Ind., for CHARLES NASSER who died in Community Hospital at 8:10 a.m. Sunday of a heart attack following surgery performed Friday.

Burial was to be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute. Before the body was shipped to Terre Haute, services were held in the Wickenburg chapel at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. D.F. O’Sullivan, pastor of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Born in Terre Haute October 22, 1910, Mr. Nasser moved to Phoenix with his family in the spring of 1951. That fall he purchased a grocery store on the California Highway from Mr. and Mrs. Walt Obaugh and renamed it Charley’s market. Last fall this business was changed to Charley’s Liquor Drive-In.

Surviving are the widow, Thelma; three children. Charles, Jr. a student at Arizona State University, Carol and Eddie Nasser at home, the mother, Mrs. S. Nasser of Terre Haute, and two brothers, Kay of Phoenix and Johnny of Terre Haute.
