| Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona October 26, 1962 Thursday Funeral for Frank Macias Rosary for FRANK R. MACIAS, Jr., was held at 8 o’clock Wednesday evening in the Wickenburg Chapel and the Rev. D.F. O’Sullivan conducted a funeral mass in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Macias, a native of Wickenburg suffered a heart attack while at the HK Cattle Co. Ranch at Buckhorn Springs 21 miles east of town at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon. His wife and Fred Ohlinger of Phoenix, his partner in the ranch operation rushed him to community Hospital. He died enroute. The three had gone to the ranch on Friday of last week. Mr. Macias came into town Monday morning on business and returned. Mrs. Macias was born in Wickenburg December 3, 1912. He was a well known rancher and participated in rodeos throughout the state. For 14 years he was employed here by the Ste Highway Department, having retired from that position just a year ago last November. He was a member of the board of directors of the Wickenburg Soil Conservation District and also of the Bureau of Land Management District Grazing Board. It was only recently that Mr. Macias and Fred Ohlinger of Phoenix formed a partnership to purchase the Buckhorn spring ranch and form the HK Cattle Co. Surviving are the widow, Mary; the mother, Mrs. Aurora Campillo; two brother, Raymond and Manuel, Sr.; and one sister, Mrs. Allen Hershkowitz all of Wickenburg. Thirteen nieces and nephews also survive. Serving as pallbearers were Dwight Pemberton, Henry Molina, Bill Stewart, Bill Garcia, Geo. Hershkowitz, Wickenburg, and Henry Ohlinger of Phoenix. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Franklin, Al Baum, and Ben Pollman of Wickenburg, Lawton Chample of Castle Hot springs, Jewel Turner of Buckeye, Tommy Walker of Glendale, Stuart Krentz, Fred Ohlinger and Andy Bettwy of Phoenix, and Riley Phillips of Morristown.
