Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 20, 1962 Wednesday Rites for Ted Mitchell Funeral rites for TED MITCHELL were conducted by the Rev. Robert Jenkins, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in Wickenburg Chapel at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell died in his home on Santa Cruz Street Sunday morning after an illness of many years. Born in Bison, Kan., February 7, 1904, Mr. Mitchell moved to Wickenburg in 1936. He operated a radio sales and repair shop in the shoe repair shop of his father, the late R.H. Mitchell, in what was then the Hassayampa Hotel. He later moved into the Johnson Building where his radio and television shop is now located. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. R. H. Mitchell, Wickenburg; three sisters, Ruth Mitchell of Wickenburg; Mrs. R.F. Meyer of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. R.S. Truex of Grand Bend Kan; one brother , Glenn A. of Wichita; and 10 nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lena Morrison of Santa Monica, Calif., sister. Mr. Mitchell’s mother, was also here for the services.
