DeBerry Rites were Saturday

Funeral services for JOSEPH W. DeBERRY were held in the Wickenburg Chapel last Saturday afternoon with the Rev. D. F. O’Sullivan, pastor of St. Anthony’s Catholic church, officiating.

Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery with Rev. O’Sullivan and members of the Elks Lodge conducting graveside rites.

Mr. DeBerry, who had lived in Wickenburg for the past 11 years, died in community Hospital at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday of last week.

Born in Mineral Wells, Texas, May 17, 1913, Mr. DeBerry moved to Douglas, Ariz., in January of 1937. He came here in 1951 to become bartender of La Cabana. He was a charter member of the local elks Club.

Surviving are the widow, Virginia; four children, Joann, Barbara and Sue of Wickenburg, and Joe Pat DeBerry of Eldorado, Kan.; four sisters, Mrs. Chloe Hess and Mrs. Marvin Davis of Mineral Wells, Texas, Mrs. Fannie M. Whatley of Graford, Texas, and Mrs. Marie Lee Bost of Phoenix; and two brothers, James of Mineral Wells and Raymond of Denver, Colo.
