Maria Canchola Navarro

Maria Canchola Navarro, 98, died Aug. 1 [2003] at her home in Globe. She was born in Penjamo, Mexico, but was a lifelong Arizona resident.

She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Smith of Globe, Lydia Walsh of La Grange, Ill., and Mary Robinson of Peoria; two sons, Gilbert Navarro of Santa Paula, Calif., and Fernando Navarro of Globe; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today (Wednesday, Aug. 6) at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Globe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
