Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Az. Nov. 9, 2005 Glenn Jones of Phoenix, Ariz., went to be with his Lord Oct. 28, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was also born. Glenn was a devoted Christian, a quiet, kind and private gentleman. His family members were pioneers in Phoenix where he was born. He moved to the territory of Alaska and later to Colorado where he graduated from high school. He served in the U. S. Navy and was very proud to serve the nation he loved so dearly. He graduated from Stanford University. Glenn's career for most of his adult life was in hospital administration. He was associate administrator at Good Samaritan, built Downey Community Hospital in California, was administrator at Phoenix Memorial, opened Desert Samaritan and later was administrator in Wickenburg. He had recently retired from Sun Health where he had worked part time the past few years. His wife Patty loved and adored him, and they had just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. He is survived by loving Patty, three daughters and sons-in-law: Deanne and Jeff Johnson, Nancy and Dave McCullough, Mary Ellen and Paul Sawrey. Grandchildren are Carey McCullough Brown, Meagan and David McCullough, Erica and Brittany Sawrey. There are six loved great-grandchildren, sister Florence Holman, sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Les Lloyd, six nephews and a niece. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all. Visitation was Friday, Nov. 4 at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary at 710 W. Bethany Home Road., Phoenix. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 N. 7th Ave., Phoenix. |
