Linda Kay (Savage) Edwards

Linda Kay Edwards, 58, of Mesa, Ariz., died Monday, Nov. 21 after a long illness. She was born Feb. 18, 1947. Linda was the daughter of Dick and Janice Savage.

She was raised in Wickenburg and graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1965. Over the years while residing in Mesa, she worked for Matta's Mexican Restaurant, L.J.'s Pizza Restaurant, and the Christian Bookstore.

She was an active quilter at the time of her death and was a member of the Thornberries Quilt Group. She was a current member in Red Mountain Community Church and previously a member of both Trinity Baptist Church and Church of the Savior in Mesa.

Her survivors include her husband of 38 years Michael W. Edwards, sons Michael W. Edwards, Jr. (Marcee) of Mesa, Ariz.; Timothy Edwards (Mary Lou) of Mesa, Ariz.; Kenneth Edwards (Brandy) of Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; one great grandson; brother Tim Savage of Chino Valley, Ariz., and sister Marilyn Gabbard of Wittmann, Ariz.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today (Wed. Nov. 23) at Red Mountain Community Church at 6101 E. Virginia Street in Mesa with Pastor Paul Forsythe presiding. The family requests people join them afterwards at the church for refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arbor Rose Hospice of the Valley, 6063 E. Arbor Avenue, Mesa, AZ 85206. Envelopes will be available at the church.
